You are invited to take part in The Great Kindness Challenge. This is a nationwide challenge for us to commit one week to performing as many acts of kindness as possible as a Scorpion Family. You can send a FREE "Kindness Gram" to anyone on campus by coming to the stage at lunch Tues-Thurs this week. We challenge you to see how many of these "kind acts" you can do this week. Don't be shy... share some positive vibes. A little goes a long way!
Our Criminal Justice Class took a few students to visit the Victorville Courthouse. They were able to speak with people in the profession: Lawyers, DA's and a Judge. They heard various cases and were able to see how the courthouse works. They also got to see what they have to do to acquire a career at the courthouse.

The Hesperia High School Counseling Department will be hosting the Financial Aid Night workshop for our Seniors and their families on January 23 at 5pm at Hesperia High School. There will be a Spanish and English Presentation option. Please refer to your student email for more information regarding the event. If you plan to attend this event please make sure your student brings their chromebook and required documents for completing the application. We look forward to seeing you there!
HUSD has a "State Seal of Civic Engagement" program where students starting as early as 7th grade can participate in a research project. Students can receive a special seal on their diploma and can include this distinction on their college apps. The test will be offered at no cost for our 11th grade students. There are only 200 spots available so do not delay in signing up. Sign up link was sent out to students via e-mail. This is the ONLY time that the SAT is offered at HHS - Saturday testing is not available on campus.

HUSD will be closed in olbservance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Schools and the district office will be closed Monday, January 15th 2024 and reopen Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

*THE SAT is now digital. Students will be responsible to bring their fully charged chromebook in order to test.
If you are planning to attend a 4 year university after high school it is recommended that you take advantage of this opportunity. Please review the individual schools that you plan to apply to for admission requirements. SAT testing is not required for all college admissions. Many universities will use SAT scores for class placement for Math and English.
